Xaquín Lores sent us the beautiful book “Maritime Heritage of Galicia” that the Galician Institution for the Maritime Culture published by 2003 and that unfortunately you cannot find in the bookshops. This is to thank him and to give them –as usual– our support to defend and disseminate our culture.

We have just finished another fifty notes referring to such elements of the industrial heritage of Galicia, which together with the one hundred ones that were elaborated in the first phase of the project of inventory they all sum one hundred and fifty documented references of our industrial heritage.
Thanks to the requested grant to the General Secretary of Modernisation and Technological Innovation of the Xunta de Galicia, the result of our work is already in our website to free willingness of any concerned individual about our industrial past.
By selecting the “Inventory” ticketed tab you will display the file that it contains the one hundred and fifty mentioned notes, indexed for municipalities and by provinces, to those you will be able also to access writing in the search engine (so far just in Galician) keywords of its activity: muíño, mina, lapis, cobre, salga, conservas, etc. At the same time, the identification of the location in Google Maps it makes very easy that you can find the space in which the sought element is found.
They went many months of constant work and, although the result still needs some polishing, there is no doubt that it is going to be of usefulness and we trust that shall stimulate the investigation of our industrial heritage and the dissemination of its knowledge.
