Valga’s Wire Rope Way

At the request of the plenary session of the City Council of Valga, the Directorate-General for Cultural Heritage of the Xunta de Galicia agreed to initiate the procedure to declare the ‘Novo y Sierra’ ceramic air transport funicular in Valga (Pontevedra) to be of cultural interest. Built in 1927, it is currently the only example of air transport systems for materials that existed in Galicia that can be preserved.
