History of machine tools and manufacturing equipment

Machine tools and manufacturing equipment are a group of machines of enormous interest from a historical point of view, given that their purpose is to shape the parts of pieces, tools, utensils and components of other machines. Although their origin is very ancient, in some cases dating back to the Palaeolithic period, they acquired their physiognomy and typological and operational characteristics after the Industrial Revolution. The course will focus on the machine tools and equipment of the foundry, plastic deformation forming and welding process groups, both for metallic materials and polymers. More information HERE.
